Buddy Matthews isn’t just brushing off WWE rumors—he’s also putting an end to speculation about the future of AEW’s House of Black. In a recent interview on Wrestle Radio Australia, Matthews made it clear that disbanding the dominant faction is not on the table, emphasizing the unique chemistry he shares with his fellow members, Malakai Black and Brody King.

“Leaving and disbanding? Like, we might go on excursions—left, right, and center—maybe some singles or tags. But disbanding and breaking up? To me, it’s not on the cards,” Matthews said.

The powerhouse wrestler, who describes himself as the “5’11” Juggernaut,” highlighted how the trio perfectly complements one another in and out of the ring.

“Malakai does his thing. He’s the architect of it all—he puts it together, creates the game plan, and gets in people’s heads. We have Brody, who is a powerhouse, and then there’s me, right? We complement each other in so many different ways, and there isn’t a trio that works as well as us.”

Matthews also reflected on their championship triumphs, pointing to their victory over The Elite as proof of their dominance. “We beat The Elite. We beat the elite of the elite. We beat Kenny and the Bucks. The trio titles were made for that group, and we took the titles off them. So, yeah, we are probably the greatest trio.”

With Matthews’ blend of power and attitude, Brody King’s brute force, and Malakai Black’s psychological edge, the House of Black has established itself as a force to be reckoned with in AEW. Fans can rest assured that the faction isn’t going anywhere, even as its members explore individual opportunities.
