Pat McAfee is officially heading back to WWE, and this time, he’s setting the record straight. While WWE announced his return during the Netflix & WWE presentation, they notably avoided mentioning the exact date. Now, McAfee has taken it upon himself to confirm that his return to RAW commentary is set for January 6, 2025, aligning with WWE’s highly anticipated Netflix debut.

Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show on December 5, the fan-favorite commentator cleared up the mystery, saying, “It was announced that I’d be back with WWE starting January 6, calling Monday Night RAW on Netflix. What an honor it is to be asked to come back and to be a part of this. I had to step away from the commentary table with Michael Cole because of the college football season and my daily show. I don’t know if I would’ve survived if I continued to call Monday Night RAW. I was bummed out when I left. I love the WWE. It is the most-fun place I’ve ever been in my entire life, working alongside Michael Cole.”

McAfee’s return comes after he temporarily stepped away to manage his demanding schedule, including hosting College GameDay. WWE’s initial announcement—made by Triple H during a Netflix presentation—highlighted his return but left fans in the dark about the exact timing. McAfee’s clarification ensures fans know exactly when to tune in for his return.

Taking to X/Twitter, McAfee also shared his enthusiasm, writing, “An absolute honor to be asked back… A childhood dream realized every single time I’m lucky enough to be in an arena with the @WWE Universe.”
