WCW legend Eric Bischoff has come across to the wrestling world as a major critic of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) for the last few years. Following his recent appearance in the December 3rd edition of WWE NXT, Bischoff had a victory lap of his own after being called out for the show doing poor numbers.
A fan on social media berated the former WCW President for WWE NXT’s poor viewership during his appearance, which was a direct question about his popularity in the wrestling world. He stated, “@EBischoff shows up, and @WWENXT does its worst ratings in more than a year.”
This led to Eric Bischoff shooting them down on X by bringing up the fact that their rival competitors, AEW, did even lesser numbers in viewership for the December 4th edition of Dynamite, stating, “And STILL beats @AEW. Did you see the quarter hours? You should see the minute-by-minute numbers! 😎.”
WWE NXT did 593,000, which was slightly up from AEW’s viewership at 586,000, as rightly pointed out by Eric Bischoff, asserting WWE’s dominance over them. Bischoff made an appearance on NXT as a part of the face-to-face confrontation between Ridge Holland and NXT Champion Trick Williams ahead of their title match at the upcoming PLE, NXT Deadline.
While the fans widely praised Eric Bischoff’s NXT debut despite the low viewership, we will have to wait and see when the former RAW General Manager will make an appearance next on WWE television programming.
