WWE is officially rebranding The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) as babyfaces, signaling a fresh start for the powerhouse duo.

According to PWInsider, the team has undergone an internal status change, paving the way for a more serious push in WWE’s tag team division.

The War Raiders have had their share of ups and downs in WWE, including a successful run as NXT Tag Team Champions. However, their transition to the main roster was marred by creative missteps, such as the much-criticized “Viking Experience” rebrand. More recently, Ivar’s significant neck injury forced the duo into hiatus, derailing their momentum in the process.

Now back under the War Raiders moniker, WWE appears poised to return Erik and Ivar to the intense, hard-hitting style that first endeared them to fans. The comedic elements that marked some of their recent appearances are being dropped in favor of a more serious, hard-nosed presentation, indicating that WWE is ready to make the team a major player in the division once again.
