WWE commentator Pat McAfee has been confirmed to return to RAW following its move to Netflix. The announcement came straight from WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque during the recent Netflix & WWE Lunch and Learn presentation, and now, McAfee has responded to the same.
Pat McAfee took to his X, calling it an absolute honor to be asked back by WWE to return to the commentary desk. He stated, “An absolute honor to be asked back.. A. Childhood dream realized every single time I’m lucky enough to be in an arena with the
@WWE Universe. Can’t wait to be talking into a microphone next to @MichaelCole
again.. He’s the 🐐.I’m excited to tell the worldwide audience on Netflix how great the WWE Superstars are…. and how big of scumbags some of ‘em are too. Let’s go.”
The former NFL player seems to be ready to return to his commentary duty with his broadcast partner, Michael Cole on RAW. Moreover, Pat McAfee also plans to take the popularity of WWE to the next level through Netflix reaching a far wider audience.
Pat McAfee took a break from his role as a WWE commentator a few months ago to return to ESPN Game Day. In his absence, the RAW commentary duties have been handled by Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore, while Michael Cole joined Corey Graves on SmackDown.
While Triple H did confirm his return, he did not specify the exact date of Pat McAfee’s comeback to the commentary desk. Moreover, it could very well come at RAW’s debut on Netflix, set to take place on January 6, 2024, which is already being perceived as a show as magnanimous as WrestleMania.
With Pat McAfee coming back soon, it will be interesting to see the final commentary teams on both RAW and SmackDown, as WWE Universe is thrilled to welcome back the man who revolutionized the art of calling the action in his own way.
