John Cena is preparing for his WWE retirement tour in 2025, but his Hollywood career remains as busy as ever. It’s now confirmed that Cena is working on another project with Netflix, adding to his growing list of upcoming movies.
While speaking to Deadline, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria revealed that she is excited about working with WWE to make new documentaries and tell stories about the company’s history and famous characters.
Bajaria talked about Netflix’s strong connection with WWE stars and mentioned a new comedy movie called Little Brother, starring John Cena and Eric Andre. Bajaria is very excited about this project and looks forward to more opportunities to work together.
“We are really looking forward to doing documentaries and taking some of [WWE’s] great history and characters and doing that on the unscripted and scripted side,” she said. “Again, we have so many great stars that come from WWE that we’ve had a great relationship with on the TV and movie side. We are about to do a new movie with our very own John Cena. It’s a really great comedy called Little Brother [starring Cena] and Eric Andre together, and we’re super excited about that.”
That’s not all, as John Cena also recently wrapped up filming for “Peacemaker” season 2, so it is clear The Leader of Cenation will be incredibly busy heading into 2025, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.
2024 turned out to be an incredible year for John Cena as he appeared on WWE television and got to star in quite a few successful movies as well, so it remains to be seen whether 2025 will turn out to be an even better year for Cena. After all, it will be the last year that fans see Cena as an active in-ring competitor in WWE.
