Josh Alexander has achieved significant success in TNA and has been a popular name among fans hoping to see him appear on NXT as part of the partnership between TNA and WWE. However, Alexander has now revealed that discussions about him appearing on NXT television fell through.
While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Josh Alexander was asked if he has any interest in making his way to NXT television and facing stars there. Alexander mentioned how fans on social media have been excited about the NXT and TNA partnership, with dream matches like Alexander versus Oba Femi or Chad Gable.
According to Alexander, there were legitimate discussions about him appearing on NXT television but for some reason, it didn’t work out. Despite this, Josh Alexander remains hopeful, adding that one can never say never in the world of professional wrestling.
“I would go through Twitter like a wave with this NXT-TNA relationship, where people were like, ‘We need Josh versus Oba Femi, we need Josh versus Chad Gable.’ That’s exactly what I’m doing—I’m like, ‘Yeah, bring it on, all this stuff.’ And I heard rumblings, yeah, I heard rumblings that the NXT thing was going to happen. On a couple of occasions, there was stuff that was legitimately talked about, and for whatever reason, it didn’t transpire, and that’s unfortunate. But, I mean, you never say never in the wrestling business, right?”
