The December 2 episode of Monday Night RAW dealt with the fallout from Survivor Series and the company kicked it up a notch with a huge promo segment featuring CM Punk, Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn and now the mastermind behind the promo has been revealed.
According to Fightful Select, Alexandra Williams, who is usually tasked with writing CM Punk’s segments, was the writer behind the opening promos on last night’s Monday Night RAW. Abyss was also the producer, which added to the overall feel of the whole segment.
During the segment, CM Punk pointed at an imaginary WrestleMania sign, making it clear he wanted a main event match at the grand stage. He was then interrupted by Seth Rollins, who stated that he regretted not knocking Punk out the day he returned to WWE. He also brought up Punk’s involvement with Roman Reigns at Survivor Series, admitting it was time to make things right. Punk dismissed Rollins, telling him to stay out of his business, which quickly escalated into a brawl between the two.
Once officials separated them, Sami Zayn made his way out and exchanged words with Rollins. Rollins made it clear he didn’t appreciate Zayn teaming with Roman Reigns at Survivor Series. Zayn responded by challenging Rollins and calling him out for being overly frustrated. Rollins fired back, calling Zayn’s actions foolish and this eventually led to a match between the two later on in the night.
It is quite clear that WWE is truly on a whole different level when it comes to their storytelling right now and the company is determined to end 2024 with memorable storylines that will continue in 2025, so we’ll have to see whether WWE will keep the momentum going in the coming weeks.
