The December 3 episode of WWE NXT is already shaping up to be a must-see event with Eric Bischoff and X-Pac slated to appear, but new reports reveal a third major name was originally part of the lineup: Kevin Nash.

According to Fightful Select, the WWE Hall of Famer was in discussions to join the show, but plans fell through, leaving fans wondering what could have been.

Nash, a founding member of the nWo, would have added a massive boost to the episode’s star power. His potential reunion with longtime friends Bischoff and X-Pac had all the makings of a memorable moment in NXT history.

The news of Nash’s scrapped appearance comes as the Hall of Famer is preparing for surgery following a torn bicep sustained during a workout. On his Kliq This podcast, Nash detailed the injury, saying, “I did a single-arm bicep curl machine, and by the ninth rep, I felt my left bicep cramping. I knew it—I tore the bicep.”

As Eric Bischoff prepares to appear alongside X-Pac in ongoing NXT storylines, the absence of “Big Sexy” adds a bittersweet note to what is already a highly anticipated episode. Whether WWE revisits the idea of involving Nash in future NXT programming remains to be seen.
