The December 3 episode of WWE NXT included a few drawing points for fans, but few were as interesting as Eric Bischoff’s debut for the brand.

Eric Bischoff was known for causing controversy and collecting cash as leader of WCW. He was on hand this week for NXT, where he brought his signature charisma to the table. X-Pac was also set to be there for the show.

Bischoff made his way to the ring, where he kicked off the show’s second hour. He started off by giving fans a little rundown of how he revolutionized the pro wrestling industry, and how awesome it felt. He also got that feeling from NXT today when he walked through the doors.

Then he brought out Trick Williams and Ridge Holland, who will be competing for the NXT Title this Saturday at Deadline. Eric Bischoff had nice things to say about both Ridge and Trick before getting back to his point as Holland called Williams “a stand-up comedian with abs.” He obviously wasn’t impressed by what Bischoff had to say about the NXT Champion. Trick responded by calling Ridge Holland boring and vanilla.

The two continued in a back-and-forth promo battle as Eric Bischoff stood in the corner and watched with an interested look on his face. After Holland called Trick “soft,” he responded by punching him, and they ended up brawling on the outside of the ring. Holland ended up landing a DDT on Trick Williams on the announce table, which did not break.

The November 26 episode of WWE NXT featured a video message from Eric Bischoff during a segment with Trick Williams, where Williams discussed his upcoming match against Ridge Holland at NXT Deadline. Bischoff teased a major announcement, which generated speculation about his plans. He then upped things by revealing that fellow WWE Hall of Famer Sean Waltman will be around. Although X-Pac didn’t show up during this segment, he was announced for the show.
