WWE Superstar Sonya Deville is catching heat online after a fiery exchange with fellow wrestler Dakota Kai spiraled into a social media storm.

The drama started when Dakota responded to a clip from the Survivor Series press conference where IYO SKY, visibly annoyed, reminded reporters she’s still part of Damage CTRL. “They must’ve forgot 😂,” Dakota tweeted in response.

Sonya Deville then chimed in, throwing shade at Kai with a pointed jab: “You are pretty forgettable… I mean seeing as half the time you’re on the bench.. .” But Deville’s attempt at a clapback backfired, igniting a wave of criticism from fans who weren’t shy about calling out her own recent time away from the ring.

“Wasn’t this you last year?” one user tweeted. Another added, “I know your ass ain’t talking about being on the bench.” The responses only grew harsher: “Thought this was clever until I saw who tweeted it,” and “When was the last time you even had a good match?” flooded the comment section, as fans didn’t hold back.

Instead of backing down, Sonya doubled down on the drama, addressing the backlash with a dismissive follow-up tweet: “Maybe I’ll come on this app more often. You guys are too easy.” While some fans appreciated her ability to stand her ground, others felt her response only added fuel to the fire.

Social media has proven to be a hotbed for WWE rivalries, but in this case, Sonya’s comments seem to have done more harm than good. Whether this Twitter feud will carry over into the ring remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: fans are keeping receipts.
