Legendary WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross might not know the ins and outs of artificial intelligence, but he’s open to the idea of his iconic voice living on through technology.

The 72-year-old announcer, who’s still calling matches for AEW pay-per-views, recently addressed the potential for his voice to be preserved and used for commentary in the future—even after he steps away from the mic.

Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Ross didn’t hold back when asked about the concept of AI replicating his commentary. “First of all, I don’t know what the f*** AI is,” Ross admitted. “I know it’s out there. I’ve heard people talk about it. But I’m just being very upfront and frank because that’s how I work.”

While Ross might not grasp the full scope of AI, the thought of his voice continuing to entertain fans years down the road intrigued him—especially if it meant his grandkids could hear him in action. “That would be really cool for my grandkids or their kids to see grandpa doing his thing,” Ross said, adding with a laugh, “So if I could get paid for it, I’m happy to do it.”
