Tensions flared on wrestling Twitter today as TNA announcer Taz found himself in a heated exchange with a fan over tonight’s packed wrestling lineup. While hyping AEW’s programming, the iconic voice didn’t hold back when confronted by a fan proclaiming WWE Survivor Series as the superior choice.

Taz initially took to Twitter to remind fans of AEW’s big night, writing, “Just a reminder, #AEWCollision TODAY 4pm ET & #AEWRampage at 6pm ET TONIGHT! @tntdrama.” However, things quickly took a turn when a fan responded dismissively, saying, “Wdgaf we’re watching survivors series.”

Never one to back down, Taz fired back with a quote tweet, delivering a thoughtful yet pointed rebuttal: “Wow, so you speak for EVERY wrestling fan out in this HUGE world… ‘we’re’… So Sam, people consume content differently… Also some people like vanilla, some people like chocolate, also some people like vanilla & chocolate! There is no ‘we’re.’ Everyone enjoy WRESTLING… there is plenty available today/tonight!”

Taz’s response not only shut down the fan’s attempt to pit AEW against WWE but also highlighted the importance of celebrating all forms of wrestling entertainment. The timing is especially relevant with WWE Survivor Series taking place tonight at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC, promising massive WarGames matches alongside title showdowns.

Meanwhile, AEW brings a double dose of action with AEW Collision airing at 4 PM ET and AEW Rampage following at 6 PM ET on TNT. It’s a stacked day for wrestling fans, and as Taz pointed out, there’s plenty of content for everyone to enjoy—no need to pick sides.

What do you think about Taz’s response? Should he just ignore these fans? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
