The Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia hosted the 2024 Survivor Series event, and fans were focused on the two signature WarGames matches. The women’s contest brought a ton of action, with the two teams leaving it all in the double ring.
Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Naomi, Iyo Sky, and Bayley were set to face The Judgment Day’s Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, along with Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae in a Women’s WarGames match.
Team Rhea won the advantage in this match during the November 25 episode of WWE RAW. Bayley started out the match for her side, with Nia Jax entering the match first for Team Liv. Then Naomi, who celebrated her birthday that night, entered the match to help out Bayley. The Glow received “Happy Birthday” chants from the crowd before Candice LeRae jumped in front of Tiffany Stratton to enter the match and even up the odds. Bianca Belair jumped in the match next.
The remaining entrants in the match were Tiffany Stratton, IYO Sky, Raquel Rodriguez, Rhea Ripley and then Liv Morgan entered with a baseball bat in her hands. At that point, “The Match Beyond” officially started.
During one notable spot in the match, Tiffany Stratton and IYO Sky (who had a purple garbage can on her) did stereo moonsaults off the top of the WarGames cage onto the rest of the field. Then, Tiffany Stratton teased a Money in the Bank cash-in, but it was stopped.
The finish for the match came when Rhea Ripley landed a Rip Tide off the top rope through a table. She got a clean pinfall after that.
Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley brought their heated rivalry into this match, as they lead the teams. The Nightmare was seeking revenge on Morgan in a big way. She is not only upset over Morgan taking the WWE Women’s World Title at WWE King and Queen of The Ring, but she lost Dominik Mysrterio as well. Morgan’s enforcer, Raquel Rodriguez, kicked things up a notch when she returned to the fold at 2024 Bad Blood. That made it an easy decision to place Ripley in the WarGames match, even though she was just coming back from a brutal baseball bat assault from the Judgment Day women during the October 29 episode of WWE NXT.
The Women’s WarGames match had quite a build, one that included Jade Cargill getting taken out of the mix. She was replaced by Bayley, and while Cargill’s current injury status is up for debate, she didn’t compete at Survivor Series.
