The annual Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate rivalry game between Georgia and Georgia Tech is set to kick off on November 29, with the Bulldogs riding a six-game winning streak and favored by 17.5 points. While the stakes on the field are high, WWE star Roman Reigns has added his own heat to the mix—calling out fellow WWE icon Cody Rhodes over his alleged bandwagon support for Georgia.

Speaking on the SI Media podcast with Jimmy Traina, Reigns didn’t hold back. “Cody is not a Georgia fan. He’s like a lot of these Georgia people. Cody is one of those guys who went to Walmart and bought a Georgia Bulldogs shirt. That’s it,” Reigns said, taking a direct shot at Rhodes’ loyalty.

“He didn’t go to the school. He may have had a couple of stupid adolescent nights down there on whatever stupid street they have in Athens, but he’s not a Georgia Bulldog.”

The tension between the two wrestling superstars spilled over earlier this year when they met at Georgia Tech—Reigns’ alma mater—before WWE Bad Blood. The meeting was supposed to foster unity as they prepared to face Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu, but it seems there’s no love lost when it comes to their college football allegiances.

As Georgia looks to extend its dominance over Georgia Tech, Reigns remains fiercely proud of his Yellow Jacket roots—and he’s not letting Rhodes claim any Bulldog glory without calling it out.
