Matt Hardy made his return to TNA at the Rebellion pay-per-view and Jeff Hardy followed suit at Against All Odds. After sticking with TNA for a while, they ended up re-signing with the company and now Matt Hardy has revealed why they signed new contracts with the company.

While speaking on the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt Hardy was asked for the reason behind him and Jeff Hardy re-signed with TNA Wrestling. Matt Hardy revealed that TNA has big plans for 2025, including moving to a larger platform and continuing to grow.

Matt Hardy noted that he was impressed by their creative ideas and marketing strategies. He pointed out that The Hardys have had a strong partnership with TNA. Over the past few months, they talked about working together on a set number of appearances. TNA has kept its promises, and Matt feels they’ve done the same in return.

That is ultimately why they agreed to a one-year contract with TNA. Matt Hardy stated they have a great working relationship, and if they want to do anything outside of TNA, they just need to get approval, which is usually not a problem.

“I’ve been enlightened about some of the plans TNA has for 2025, and they’re aiming to move to a bigger platform. They’re still looking to grow, and they have a lot of really cool stuff planned. I love some of the marketing strategies they have and everything they’re working on.

We’ve had a great relationship with them. Over the past few months, we’ve talked and discussed the possibility of doing a deal for a certain number of dates or something similar. Everything they’ve said they were going to do for us, they’ve followed through on, and I think we’ve done the same for them. The relationship has been great.

We ended up signing with them for a year, so we’ll be with TNA for the next year. It’s a great working relationship, and if there’s anything we want to do outside of TNA, we just talk with them, get their approval, and it’s usually good to go.”

Matt and Jeff Hardy are the current TNA Tag Team Champions and have been booked well since their title win back at Bound for Glory. Fans are curious to see just how much success they will find in 2025 as the iconic tag team will be remaining part of the TNA family for at least a year now.
