Adam Copeland is gearing up for his long-awaited return to AEW after a brutal injury earlier this year. The former TNT Champion opened up about his recovery and mindset during a Thanksgiving appearance on The Leafs Nation, offering fans an update on his health and what’s next for him in the ring.
Back in May at AEW Double or Nothing, Copeland defended his TNT Championship in a high-stakes steel cage match against Malakai Black. The match took a dangerous turn when Copeland attempted a massive splash from the top of the cage onto a table, resulting in a gruesome landing that left him with a broken leg. At the time, fans were left stunned as news of the severity of his injury emerged in the days following.
Speaking about the incident, Copeland reflected on the risky move and how it reminded him of his limits. “My brain forgets I’m 51, but my body quickly reminded me, yeah, you just jumped from 21 feet, asshole. That’s technically three stories. You’re 51, quit it,” Copeland joked. Despite the setback, the wrestling legend is determined to bounce back stronger than ever. “But I feel good. I’m ready to get back at it and to get busy again.”
The former WWE Hall of Famer remains one of the most resilient and beloved figures in the industry. As he eyes his AEW return, fans are eager to see how Copeland will reclaim his spot in the company and whether he’ll revisit his rivalry with Malakai Black or move on to new challenges.
