Thanksgiving didn’t go as planned for WWE NXT star Nikkita Lyons, who spent the holiday under the weather instead of celebrating with family. The wrestling standout took to Instagram to share an update, pointing fingers at someone who apparently showed up sick at last Friday’s WWE live event.

In a video shared from her bed, Lyons told fans, “Hi y’all, I’m sick. So whoever got me sick at the live event on Friday, NO THANK YOU! Friggin rude. Like who’s going to wrestling sick? The hell?”

While clearly frustrated, she still managed to find a silver lining. “I’m grateful because I have this bed to lay in, but I couldn’t even go to my aunt’s today because I want to spread love, not sickness,” she added.

Lyons also noted that she tried to power through earlier in the day. “I tried to run it out earlier, as you saw. I didn’t try, I did, but she’s still here lingering. Anyways, I just wanted to say, happy Thanksgiving.”

This heartfelt—and hilarious—update came shortly after Lyons initially posted a video of herself at the park in a sweatsuit, expressing gratitude for friends, family, and even the grass beneath her feet. That clip, captioned, “Grateful for my real friends, family and that I don’t give a f*** oh and grass. What are you grateful for?” quickly earned her love from fans, who flooded the comments with heart and fire emojis.

Despite her Thanksgiving setback, Lyons remains a fan favorite and a key figure in NXT. Recently linked with Ashante Thee Adonis on-screen, Lyons is keeping fans intrigued with her evolving storylines—even if she’s sidelined momentarily by illness.

What’s your take on Nikkita Lyons calling out her Thanksgiving sickness culprit? Do you think wrestlers should sit out events when feeling under the weather, or is it just part of the game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
