The Wintrust Arena hosted another AEW event tonight as the November 27 episode of AEW Dynamite came to fans. This week’s show featured matches from both leagues in the ongoing Continental Classic round-robin tournament. The Blue league only saw one match, but it was a banger.
In the Continental Classic Blue League match for this week, fans saw Mark Briscoe vs. Shelton Benjamin. This match kicked off the tournament in a big way, as both competitors came prepared to deliver a hard-hitting contest.
Shelton Benjamin ended up getting a clean win over Mark Briscoe. This was not an easy win, but he picked up three points in the tournament regardless.
Prior to the match, MVP cut a great promo in front of the Chicago crowd. He made it clear that the Hurt Syndicate “hurts people,” and he proved that by showing off some clips from Bobby Lashley and Swerve Strickland’s Full Gear 2024 match, and that seemed to stop the “Swerve’s House” chants.
Shelton Benjamin was representing the Hurt Syndicate, and he’s still getting adjusted to the roster. He debuted with MVP by his side, and that was no different this week. Mark Birscoe is a former ROH World Champion, and he was after another shot on top.
