WrestleMania 40 Sunday saw Cody Rhodes beat Roman Reigns to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion. During one instance in the match, Roman Reigns hit Seth Rollins with a brutal chair shot reminiscent of what Rollins did to Reigns several years ago. The OTC has now addressed his actions and justified attacking Seth Rollins in such a brutal manner.
While speaking during a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Roman Reigns talked about the chair shot to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40 while Rollins was wearing Shield gear. Reigns made it clear that he would never hesitate to take a shot at Rollins whenever the opportunity arises.
The OTC further explained that anytime he gets a chance to hurt Rollins, he will take it. Reigns sees Seth Rollins as a reminder and a lesson in trust, and he prefers to keep him at a distance, always ready to strike if necessary.
“Anytime I have a chance to f*** him up, I’m gonna take it. That’s how I feel about him. Anytime I have the chance to pull the trigger on him, I’m going to. He’s a constant reminder and a lesson to myself on who to trust and how to trust them and if you can’t how to keep them and that’s where I like to keep him a chair’s length away.”
The original Bloodline even tried to recruit Seth Rollins for their Survivor Series WarGames team but Rollins ultimately turned it down as he simply can’t stand Roman Reigns. It’s clear that Rollins and Reigns continue to have disdain for each other and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.
