Roman Reigns is laying it all out when it comes to Paul Heyman. The Tribal Chief didn’t hold back while discussing his “incredibly shady” Wiseman during a appearance on SI Media with Jimmy Traina. Heyman’s shocking return to SmackDown on November 22 saw him aligning with CM Punk and Reigns, but it left plenty of questions hanging in the air—especially after Heyman mysteriously disconnected his phone while Reigns was away.
“Paul’s been incredibly shady if you ask me,” Reigns confessed. “I’ve seen the speculation, ‘Well, you didn’t answer his phone calls,’ and this and that. But at the end of the day, when I take my leave, there’s no question what I’m doing. I’m recessing back to family, changing the hats, putting on that fatherhood hat to refocus. That way I can come back and dominate and run the show, representing my family at the highest capacity.”
But when it comes to Heyman, Reigns says the story isn’t so straightforward. “The question is what happened with him. There’s a lot of things that we just haven’t had the time to dive into, and that’s just the train wreck of a return that it’s been for me.”
Reigns went on to reflect on the pressures of being WWE’s top star: “I thought wearing the crown was a hell of a burden, but trying to put all the pieces together when power behooves you is incredibly difficult. So right now, I have just as many questions for the Wiseman as you.”
The return of Heyman—alongside the ever-compelling Bloodline saga—has fans glued to their screens. Reigns himself admitted the storyline’s “strong characters” have helped his seamless transition into a babyface role “without doing anything.”
With SmackDown reaching new heights thanks to Reigns, Heyman, and Punk’s latest moves, fans are eager to see what’s next for The Tribal Chief and his entourage.
