Grayson Waller worked hard to become one of WWE’s must-see stars, and much of his success comes from his show, The Grayson Waller Effect. He has now confirmed who was responsible for The Grayson Waller Effect going live on social media while the segments were being filmed.
While speaking on The Wrestling Classic Podcast, Grayson Waller was asked whose idea it was to go live on social media while filming The Grayson Waller Effect. Grayson Waller explained that it was his idea to go live on social media while filming The Grayson Waller Effect.
Waller revealed that he talked to a writer about it, and they worked together to make it happen. Waller wanted to do something different, and since he uses social media a lot, he thought it would be a good idea for the show. In NXT, they even showed the Instagram feed on the big screen so the audience could see the comments. However, he pointed out that trolls often leave negative comments.
“Yeah, so all that was my idea because I was trying to kind of… I spoke to a writer about it, he brought me the idea, and we kind of worked through it together. My whole thing was I wanted it to be different, and I thought using Instagram Live, especially for Grayson… I use social media all the time, so why not use it on the show? In NXT, we did it where we actually had the feed on the big screen, so if you’re in the audience, you could kind of see the comments. Especially with now, you know, trolls love to troll. So now we’ve kind of adapted it differently on the main roster, where if you want to be in that extra feed, you want to have a look at what I’m looking at, you can do that. But we’re not putting the comments on the screen or anything like that. It’s specifically you’re just logging into my feed. If people want to say things, that’s their decision, but we’re not putting that on TV anymore.”
Grayson Waller has also revealed his strategy behind dragging locals for every town he visits during WWE shows. Waller will continue to make headlines thanks to his “Grayson Waller Effect” show and that’s not going to change anytime soon. While fans won’t get to see the segments live on social media anymore, they will always remember how entertaining the segments were on social media.
