Becky Lynch Blames Vince McMahon for Four Horsewomen Faction Never Happening in WWE

Vince McMahon led WWE with an iron fist, but many fans believed he didn’t fully understand certain aspects of pro wrestling, especially the women’s division. In fact, Becky Lynch has now blamed Vince McMahon for the Four Horsewomen never forming a faction in WWE.

While speaking during the Vulture Festival, Becky Lynch was asked if she wished a Four Horsewomen faction happened in WWE and whether she felt it was a possibility. Lynch stated that the idea was always there, like a backup plan, but they waited too long, and the chance was lost.

While people understood the group’s potential, it was never made official. Lynch feels Vince McMahon didn’t understand the concept, often questioning why they were called the Four Horsewomen since they never had a big match together on the main roster.

Although they had tag matches, they never had that standout four-way match or became a proper team. Despite this, Lynch believes the group had something special and hasn’t ruled out the possibility of it happening someday.

“I think it was always something bubbling under the surface, one of those ‘break in case of emergency’ ideas. But sometimes, when you leave something for too long, it just fades away, and the magic is gone. One of the issues, I think, was that it was something everyone kind of knew about, but it was never fully established. And I could be wrong, but I don’t think Vince ever really got it. He didn’t understand. He’d say, ‘What is this Four Horsewomen thing? They’ve never even had a match together.’ Actually, we never had a match together on the main roster—as in we never had that four-way against each other. Sure, we had tag matches, but we never had that defining four-way match. He didn’t see them as a team, but there was always something else behind it, something special. Anyway, alas, it didn’t happen. But, you know, maybe—never say never.”

Vince McMahon was also never on board with a Four Horsewomen feud in WWE. With McMahon no longer in WWE, there might be a chance for the Four Horsewomen to finally establish themselves as a faction in the company somewhere down the line. After all, nothing is impossible in the world of professional wrestling.
