The Young Bucks aren’t staying quiet after losing the AEW Tag Team Titles. Matt and Nick Jackson have officially thrown their hats back into the IWGP Tag Team Championship picture. In a video message sent to NJPW, the Bucks made it clear they want a shot at the gold at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty on January 5.

“Wrestle Dynasty is the perfect stage for us to remind everyone why we’re the best tag team in the world,” the Bucks declared in the message, signaling a bold return to NJPW’s tag division.

The duo previously held the prestigious IWGP Tag Team Championships back in 2018. Currently, the titles are in the hands of United Empire’s Great-O-Khan and HENARE, who are set to defend them against the winners of NJPW’s World Tag League at Wrestle Kingdom 19 on January 4. The Bucks are banking on their legacy and star power to secure a title opportunity the very next night at Wrestle Dynasty.

As for their AEW run, the Bucks have been “working from home” following their shocking title loss to Private Party’s Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen. But this NJPW challenge signals their intention to rebound in a big way.
