Ricochet isn’t just in AEW to stack championship wins—he’s here to craft unforgettable moments and leave a legacy as a true artist in the world of wrestling.
Since making his debut at AEW All In 2024 after his WWE contract expired, Ricochet has been on a mission to make an impact. While his quest for the AEW International Championship came up short, the high-flyer has reignited his rivalry with Will Ospreay and now has his sights set on winning the AEW Continental Classic.
In with Iridian Fierro for WGN Radio 720, Ricochet opened up about his goals in AEW. While he’s laser-focused on championship glory, including the AEW World Championship and Tag Team Titles, he emphasized that his true ambition lies in storytelling and artistry.
“What I want to accomplish is just continue to build the resume for Ricochet, continue to give the people something fun to watch,” Ricochet said. “Obviously, I came to AEW, I want to be champion. I wanted to be the International Champion. That didn’t happen… yet, but it will. I want to win the Continental Classic. I want to be the AEW Champion. I want to be the Tag Team Champion.”
For Ricochet, it’s about more than just the gold. It’s about creating moments that resonate beyond the ring. “I’ve been doing it so long that now, I want to tell good stories. I want to give people a good product. I want to create art that will last and that people will talk about,” he shared. “Whether that’s a specific moment with a move, whether that’s a match, whether that’s a story, whether that’s a promo, whatever it is, I just want to continue to make art that will last a lifetime.”
With the AEW Continental Classic looming, Ricochet is poised to make waves once again. Whether it’s in the ring, through promos, or unforgettable rivalries, he’s determined to show the world that wrestling is more than just entertainment—it’s art.
