Ricky Starks’ future in professional wrestling is a hot topic, as there’s no guarantee fans will see him return after his absence following the March 30 episode of AEW Collision. In fact, Starks himself has admitted that he’s uncertain about wrestling in AEW again.
While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Ricky Starks was asked whether fans will see him wrestle in AEW again one day. Starks stated that he is not sure if he’ll come back to AEW. He hopes to make his AEW return, but remains unsure. He feels like he hasn’t reached his full potential yet and that there’s still too much passion in him to give up on wrestling.
“I don’t know. Hopefully, maybe. I don’t know but no I think some people do and they choose not to think otherwise. That’s just my personal opinion. But like, at the end of the day, I’ve barely reached my potential, I’ve barely peaked. This can’t be it. There’s just too much passion inside of me to ever let it die out.”
Ricky Starks has been keeping himself busy in the independent circuit after appearing at GCW Dream On, where took out one of the company’s well-known stars, making it clear he would eventually come back to the promotion again.
The Absolute followed it up with a win over Glory Pro Wrestling on November 24th and he continues to have more indie bookings in the future. While his future in AEW remains uncertain, fans believe his wrestling career is far from over so only time will tell what’s next in store for Ricky Starks.
