Vince McMahon is currently dealing with a sexual trafficking lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant and at the same time, he is focused on launching his own entertainment company. It appears that McMahon’s announcement about the company will depend on the outcome of the ongoing SEC investigation into him.
While speaking on Wrestling Shoot Interviews, Eric Bischoff was asked about any potential announcement from Vince McMahon regarding his entertainment company. Bischoff stated that from what he has heard, Vince McMahon is waiting for his legal issues to be settled, including lawsuits and the SEC investigation. Once those are cleared, Vince McMahon is expected to announce his plans for his company.
“As for his business plan, I don’t think anyone knows much about it at this point. Based on what I’ve heard, Vince is waiting for his legal issues to be resolved—both civil lawsuits and the ongoing investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Until those matters are cleared, he’s unlikely to make any public announcements about his plans.”
Bischoff also mentioned that the SEC investigation is being handled by the Department of Justice. Bischoff noted that changes in politics, like Trump possibly coming back to power, might affect the situation, but he isn’t sure. He said it’s hard to guess because politics can be very unpredictable.
“Regarding the SEC investigation, that’s under the Department of Justice, which falls under the executive branch. Could political shifts, like Trump potentially being in power again, influence the outcome? Sure, it’s possible. But will it? I honestly don’t know, and I don’t even want to guess. Politics is so unpredictable these days that it’s hard to even speculate.”
The federal lawsuit against Vince McMahon is currently on hold while the federal investigation continues, with a stay in place until December 11. As a result, it remains to be seen whether McMahon will announce his plans for his entertainment company once the investigation concludes.
