Even global superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson isn’t above a little scolding from his mom. During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Moana 2 star’s mother made a surprise appearance in a clip where she shared her disapproval of her son’s online habits—specifically, his use of swear words.
“He’s a good kid all his life, you know, except for sometimes online he says a swear word. I get very upset,” she admitted, clearly unimpressed with her son’s penchant for colorful language on social media.
When the interviewer asked if she didn’t like his cursing, she replied with a firm “No,” adding that her son tries to downplay it. “He just says to calm down. It doesn’t mean anything,” she shared, rolling her eyes at her son’s casual response to her concerns.
The Rock, known for his larger-than-life personality both on and off-screen, has a reputation for keeping it real with his fans online. Whether he’s hyping up his latest project or dropping workout motivation, his posts often come with a dose of unfiltered language.
