For the past few months, fans have been eagerly waiting to see if AEW will introduce a new show called “AEW: Shockwave on FOX.” While rumors persist, it appears much progress hasn’t been made on the project so far.

During a Q&A podcast on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about the current status of “AEW: Shockwave” and whether there had been any progress. Sapp shared that he hasn’t heard of anything happening soon but confirmed that discussions about “Shockwave” are still ongoing, as he said, “I haven’t heard of anything imminent as of yet, but they are still talking about Shockwave with people, and ROH.”

While AEW recently filed a trademark for “AEW: Shockwave,” and Swerve Strickland even hinted at AEW possibly having a presence on FOX, there’s no guarantee that the show will actually debut anytime soon.

With no significant movement as such, “AEW: Shockwave’s” future remains uncertain at this moment. Only time will tell whether AEW will manage to secure a deal for the show on FOX, as the company is trying to ensure they have enough content for fans heading into 2025.
