Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XII went down at the White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, New Jersey. The event featured plenty of NXT talent, including Charlie Dempsey and his No-Quarter Catch Crew brother, Myles Bourne.
Royce Isaacs took on Myles Bourne in the 8th fight of the night. This fight was taken to the mat early on, and both competitors fought to gain an advantage. In the end, Isaacs made Bourne tap out after applying one submission after another. Finally, a chokehold made the NXT Superstar submit.
Royce Isaacs is a veteran of Bloodsport, who walked into the match with a 3-5 record. He was ready to give Myles Bourne everything he had in the worked shoot environment. Myles Bourne, on the other hand, was fighting in his first Bloodsport match.
Myles Bourne is the first-ever partially deaf WWE Superstar. They brought this up on commentary, while giving him his flowers on how he is able to operate in the ring while using his other senses to tell a story and predict his opponent’s moves.
This was a big fight for Myles Bourne, as he was trying to seek retribution for Charlie Dempsey, who lost to Isaacs at a previous Bloodsport show. Dempsey previously fought in the night, where he won his fight against Tracy Williams.
