Fans of GCW tuned in to see Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XII at the White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, New Jersey. There were several reasons to watch the event, including a couple NXT Superstars on the card, and it was a big night for Karmen Petrovic.

Sumie Sakai vs. Karmen Petrovic went down at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XII event. Their worked shoot match was certainly a highlight on the card as a featured women’s match.

This was the third fight of the night, and Karmen Petrovic received a huge ovation from fans upon her arrival as she carried her catana on her shoulder. After a match where they really displayed their striking and mat skills, Karmen won in the end.

Karmen Petrovic won via TKO thanks to a strong kick to the head. This put the match to an end far before the 15-minute time limit.

Sumie Sakai is a 55-year-old Japanese legend. While she never ventured to WWE, but she did get a lot of exposure in ROH. As Women of Honor champion, Sakai captured a lot of attention from the American fan base.

Karmen Petrovic has been making waves in WWE’s NXT brand since her 2022 debut. She has even transitioned her appearances in NXT into a short crossover stint in TNA Wrestling thanks to their talent exchange program. This match for Bloodsport gave her another valuable notch in her belt as she got to perform in a new arena.
