Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XII tore the house down at the White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, New Jersey. This event featured wrestlers from many companies, including WWE and AEW. TNA was also represented in a big way.
This match was a close contest, with back-and-forth spots. In the end, Mike Bailey tapped out to Josh Alexander after an ankle lock.
Josh Alexander just announced that he is stepping away from indie wrestling, but that didn’t keep him from Bloodsport. “Speedball” Mike Bailey was ready to take down the former TNA World Champion as well.
With plans for an AEW debut in Mike Bailey’s future, there is a lot of hype surrounding his name. He used this to his full advantage to generate interest from fans, as they were all in for this match in the final contest before the main event.
These two fought toe-to-toe, with Mike Bailey pulling off some great offense as he almost had Josh Alexander out thanks to a chokehold. Alexander was able to fight back and German suplex his opponent out of the ring at one point.
This was the perfect fight for a worked shoot setting. Josh Alexander and “Speedball” Mike Bailey didn’t hold anything back as “TNA” chants rang out from the New Jersey crowd.
