Jon Moxley Shows Up In Marina Shafir’s Corner For Big Win At Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XII

Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XII went down at the White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, New Jersey. The card featured many names from major pro wrestling companies, as Josh Barnett’s event has been known for in recent outings, and that included a big women’s match, one that Jon Moxley didn’t miss.

This match started off with the two competitors feeling each other out, until Marina Shafir landed a stiff slam to the mat. Then they wrestled around, as Jody Threat tried to evade Shafir’s expert submission game.

This match included a rare dive during a Bloodsport event as Jody Threat jumped on Marina Shafir at ringside. That drew a “GCW” chant from the crowd. In the end, Jody Thraet tapped out after Marina Shafir latched on a mother’s milk submission choke hold.

Jon Moxley was by Marina Shafir’s side for this match. He received a huge ovation from the Bloodsport crowd. This came just one day after AEW Full Gear 2024, where he retained the AEW World Title against Orange Cassidy.

Jody Threat is with TNA Wrestling. She is also 1/2 of the current Knockouts Tag Team Champions. This was a big chance for her to perform on the Bloodsport stage.

Marina Shafir is a part of the Death Riders in AEW. Alongside Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, Claudio, and Pac, they have created a lot of chaos on the AEW roster. She apparently feels at home in a Bloodsport ring as well.
