The Hardy Boys are back in TNA Wrestling, but there’s a twist—the iconic duo are technically free agents. Despite their return at Against All Odds, where Jeff Hardy shocked fans by saving Matt Hardy from a vicious assault by Moose and The System, it turns out neither brother has put pen to paper on a formal contract with TNA.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select revealed during a Q&A session when a fan asked about the Hardys’ current status. “They’re technically free agents working without a contract,” Sapp explained. “TNA is just very comfortable with them and knows they’ll do things the right way. So there’s no concern of them taking the titles elsewhere.”
This loose agreement speaks volumes about the trust between TNA and the Hardys. Their return has already created a buzz, especially after Jeff’s dramatic comeback during Moose’s post-match beatdown of Matt Hardy at Against All Odds. Armed with a steel chair, Jeff delivered his signature Swanton Bomb on Moose, bringing the crowd to its feet and reuniting with his brother in a classic Hardy moment.
For now, the Hardy Boys’ free-agent status allows them flexibility, but TNA seems confident that their legendary duo has no plans to jump ship or disrupt the company’s momentum. Fans, however, are eagerly watching to see if TNA will officially lock them into contracts or continue this unconventional setup.
