Kevin Owens Getting Big Props Internally After Recent WWE Promo Work

Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes are in the middle of a big rivalry. They had to be separated during the November 22 episode of SmackDown as they traded big words with each other. That recent performance was just scratching the surface.

Although a match with Kevin Owens vs Cody Rhodes hasn’t been locked down, they will collide. The two made that very clear in this rivalry, one that included Owens cutting a couple promos from the comfort of his car.

Sean Ross Sapp noted on Fightful Select that Kevin Owens’ performance in his promo gained a lot of buzz among those we talked to in the company. After all, he’s cut some serious promos in the build toward his match with Cody Rhodes.

Kevin Owens has also thrown some real history in his storyline with the American Nightmare. Having Randy Orton in the mix has also heightened the drama, as KO took the Apex Predator out with a piledriver during the November 8 WWE SmackDown.

PW Insider recently reported that Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes’ match is set to take place during Saturday Night’s Main event on December 14 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York. We will have to see how this turns out, because those two have a lot of heat between them at this point.

Only time will tell if Kevin Owen is able to get his revenge on Cody Rhodes for existing, but this is certainly a feud with a lot of steam. Randy Orton very well could be an X-Factor, because The Viper’s return to the scene could really shake up whatever KO and the American Nightmare have going on.
