WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg’s son Gage is well acquainted with the world of professional wrestling thanks to his father. Being Goldberg’s son, fans have been wondering if Gage will follow in his father’s footsteps and join pro wrestling. Amid speculation about his wrestling future, Gage Goldberg has now addressed the same.
On October 5, Gage Goldberg was at ringside to watch his father’s confrontation with World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER at Bad Blood. Before that, Gage’s most famous WWE moment was at SummerSlam 2021 when Bobby Lashley put him in the Hurt Lock during Lashley’s feud with Goldberg.
While speaking in an interview with Bill Apter, Gage Goldberg was asked about potentially pursuing a career in professional wrestling. Gage noted that he does not rule out wrestling in the future. Gage acknowledged that while wrestling could be exciting, his main priority right now is football. He mentioned that if football doesn’t work out, he might consider wrestling as a backup option.
“I mean, yes and no, for sure, because wrestling would be cool, being amped up and everything and having all the adrenaline, but then also I know my place right now is with football, so I’m gonna live this out and see where that takes me. If it doesn’t work out, could be wrestling. It’s a backup plan.”
Gage Goldberg is currently playing football for the University of Colorado under Deion Sanders. Therefore, only time will tell if Gage Goldberg will decide to pursue pro wrestling, as fans would love to see him follow in his father’s footsteps.
