AEW fans were pumped as they packed the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey for Full Gear 2024. Jack Perry showed up ready to prove himself once again, but it wouldn’t be an easy fight, and in the end, Daniel Garcia emerged as champion.

The finish of this match went down after many near falls and close calls on both sides. Finally, Daniel Garcia nailed a piledriver and he latched on a sharpshooter. Jack Perry almost got to the ropes, but Garcia dragged him into the middle of the ring. At that point, Perry tapped out.

At WrestleDream 2024, Daniel Garcia returned and confronted Jack Perry. This went down after Perry defeated Katsuyori Shibata to retain the AEW TNT Championship. While Garcia was distracted by MJF’s return, Perry hit him with the title belt and left. Then, during the November 9 episode of Collision, Perry defeated Action Andretti to retain the TNT Title. After that match, Garcia confronted Perry once again and challenged him to a title match at Full Gear 2024, which Perry accepted to set up this match.

It was previously reported that many backstage wouldn’t be surprised if Daniel Garcia won the TNT Title. He has received praise for his work in recent memory, and many internally are pulling for him. Daniel Garcia also recently inked a new deal with the company to keep him around for even longer.

Jack Perry made a strong TNT Champion. He also hand-remade the new title’s design. Now, that title has a new holder.
