Triple H isn’t sweating Netflix’s recent streaming fiascos, even as fans raise eyebrows over the platform’s ability to handle live WWE events. The wrestling juggernaut spoke on Greg and The Morning Buzz about potential issues when Monday Night RAW debuts on Netflix in January 2025—and he’s surprisingly chill about it.
Netflix’s November 15 showdown between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson may have raked in massive viewership numbers, but it also brought widespread complaints of buffering and connection problems. Fans were quick to blast the glitches online, and some WWE loyalists fear a similar fate awaits their beloved RAW. But Triple H has a different perspective.
“If our first night buffers and they come and say it was 60-70 million households watching, I’ll be good with the buffering,” the WWE legend said, suggesting that record-breaking numbers would more than offset a few technical hiccups.
Sources at WWE revealed that Netflix has assured the company it’s addressing the issues, promising a smooth experience by the time RAW airs. While some fans remain skeptical, Netflix has a lot riding on WWE’s live debut after being criticized for earlier streaming mishaps, including the botched Love is Blind finale.
The stakes couldn’t be higher as WWE transitions to Netflix, with expectations of seamless streaming and massive viewership. Triple H’s comments signal confidence, but the pressure is on for Netflix to prove it’s ready to play in the big leagues of live sports entertainment.
