WWE’s new Women’s United States Title generated a lot of excitement from the jump. Although we are uncertain if the RAW brand will get a Women’s Intercontinental Title, they are still pressing on to determine who will hold the Women’s U.S. Title first. That process is heating up in a big way.

Since next Thursday is Thanksgiving, WWE is giving their SmackDown talent the 29th off. They still need to air an episode of the blue brand, so they pre-taped next week’s episode in Salt Lake City, Utah after the November 22 episode of SmackDown. That means fans have spoilers for next week’s show.

During the November 29 episode of SmackDown, Michin, Lash Legend, and Piper Niven had a taped match for the WWE Women’s United States Title tournament. The finals set to go down at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14.

Jade Cargill was supposed to be in this match, but she was pulled. A backstage attack during SmackDown this week caused Bianca Belair to abandon her match, and Cargill also couldn’t compete in her scheduled triple threat match, so Lash Legend took her spot.

In the end, Michin picked up the win in her triple threat match. That makes the former Mia Yim the third woman to advance in the Women’s United States Title tournament.

Bayley advanced first in the tournament by defeating Candice LeRae and B-Fab on the November 15 episode of SmackDown. During the November 22 episode of SmackDown, Bianca Belair, Chelsea Green, and Blair Davenport battled in the tournament, as Chelsea Green advanced after a hard-fought contest.
