Tony Khan is fulfilling a childhood dream this December, as AEW and ROH take over the legendary Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan, New York, for a three-night wrestling spectacle. With an AEW Collision episode, a special Christmas edition of Dynamite, and ROH’s Final Battle 2024 pay-per-view on the schedule, fans are in for an unforgettable holiday season.

Speaking with Iridian Fierro for WGN Radio, Khan couldn’t hide his excitement about making history at the Hammerstein Ballroom. “Since I was a kid, I’ve wanted to put pro wrestling in Hammerstein Ballroom,” he shared. “There’s been events there in the past, and it’s never on TBS and TNT. So it’ll be the TBS and TNT debut for the Hammerstein Ballroom. So it’s very cool to bring that great tradition here to the Superstation and to TNT.”

Khan emphasized how meaningful this milestone is for AEW and ROH, calling it a “big deal” and a perfect way to ring in the holidays. He outlined the schedule, saying, “We’ll be having a live Collision on December 21, New York, Hammerstein Ballroom, and also then the Christmas AEW Dynamite. There will be Dynamite on Christmas night. So it’ll be very cool. We’re taping that show on the Sunday going into Christmas. So, we’ll do Saturday and Sunday. AEW at Hammerstein Ballroom, Ring of Honor [on] Friday night, also. So a three-night stand for us should be a lot of fun.”

The Hammerstein Ballroom’s rich history in professional wrestling adds extra weight to this announcement. While the venue has hosted legendary events in the past, this will mark the first time wrestling shows from the iconic venue will air live on TBS and TNT.
