Injuries can happen to just about anyone in the world of professional wrestling and TNA star Alan Angels is aware of this as he has now confirmed he is out of action due to a sprained ACL injury.

Following his AEW exit back in 2022, Alan Angels joined TNA Wrestling and has been a staple of the company ever since. Besides that, he competes in other independent promotions, and that includes Prestige Wrestling, where he is the current World Champion.

Alan Angels took to his Instagram and uploaded a video, announcing that he’s currently out of action due to a sprained ACL injury. He shared that he’s staying at home in Atlanta, resting in bed, as he’s dealing with the injury. While doctors say he’ll recover in a few weeks, he’s unable to wrestle at the moment and is having difficulty walking.

Angels mentioned that although the owner of Prestige Wrestling invited him to Portland, he had to decline the offer. Following the doctor’s advice, he is focusing on rest and recovery. However, he will be defending his Prestige World Championship on January 11th at Roseland X for anyone who wants to see him back in action.

“I’m at home in Atlanta, in bed, because I caught the injury bug. Unfortunately, I have a sprained ACL, and the doctors say I’ll be fine in just a few weeks, but right now, I can’t wrestle. I can hardly even walk. I know that’s unfortunate, and it probably makes a lot of you sad. The owner of Prestige Wrestling asked me to come to Portland, but I had to say no. The doctor recommended 50 ccs and some relaxation. However, if you want to see the champ, I’ll be defending my title on January 11th at Roseland X. Come check it out!”

While it’s certainly unfortunate that Alan Angels will be on the shelf for a few weeks, fans are eagerly waiting to see him back in action on January 11th, so fans hope he will be in the best shape possible for his in-ring return.
