Roman Reigns Set for Major Role on Monday Night RAW’s Netflix Debut and Beyond

Roman Reigns is gearing up for a massive presence on Monday Night RAW as WWE prepares for the show’s highly anticipated debut on Netflix on January 6, 2025. The Tribal Chief, who has dominated Friday Night SmackDown for years, is expected to shift much of his attention to RAW in the early half of next year, making frequent appearances to elevate the red brand’s new home.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon, Reigns will be a cornerstone of WWE’s efforts to make RAW a must-watch program on Netflix. Joey Votes reported, “We are told the plans as of now, we’ll see Roman Reigns featured on Monday Night Raw and Netflix more so than SmackDown for at least the beginning part of the calendar year.”

While there’s no confirmation of an official roster move, WWE’s strategy involves showcasing Reigns on RAW through major events like the Royal Rumble and potentially all the way to WrestleMania. The move highlights Netflix’s confidence in Reigns’ ability to drive viewership and solidify RAW as a top-tier streaming show.

“Netflix knows exactly what Roman Reigns brings to the table as far as viewership and credibility, and they are all for it. So Roman Reigns will be a key part of Monday Night Raw past episode number one throughout the Royal Rumble and, you know, I would imagine all throughout the WrestleMania season,” the report added.

Despite this significant shift, earlier reports confirmed that Reigns will remain part of SmackDown as well, ensuring his presence across both brands. WWE fans are now eagerly speculating on how the Tribal Chief’s involvement on RAW will shape storylines and rivalries heading into 2025’s biggest events.
