Mina Shirakawa’s future with AEW is looking brighter, as Tony Khan expressed optimism about her appearing more regularly in the company.

During the AEW Full Gear media call, Khan addressed her status after being asked by Ella Jay, emphasizing AEW’s strong relationship with Stardom and Shirakawa’s growing presence in both promotions.

Tony Khan revealed that he expects to see a lot of Mina Shirakawa, adding that Stardom is open to the idea of Shirakawa working more with AEW. He called her a “great star for both promotions” and highlighted how much potential she brings to the table.

“I am optimistic to keep Mina with us a lot. Mina Shirakawa fits in very well in AEW and she has been a great part of the show. We’d like to have her here as much as possible. Coming up after Full Gear, I’m optimistic that Mina Shirakawa can join us more frequently and we’ll see what that can be as far as her schedule with AEW and STARDOM simultaneously. “

“We have a great relationship with STARDOM now and I love working with STARDOM, Mr. Okada, and the great Bushiroad executives. Mina Shirakawa is a great star for STARDOM and also, now, a great star for AEW in America and all over the world. I feel Mina Shirakawa adds a lot to AEW and I would like her to stay indefinitely, more regularly, and be with us more frequently. Thankfully, STARDOM is open to that and they’ve been very kind about opening her schedule up to us. I expect to see Mina Shirakawa a lot in AEW going forward.”

Shirakawa has made sporadic appearances in AEW due to scheduling conflicts and visa challenges, but her performances have left a lasting impression. From her impactful debut on Dynamite in April 2024 to her dramatic title match with Toni Storm at Forbidden Door, Shirakawa has proven to be a captivating addition to AEW’s women’s division.

Her most recent appearance at Dynamite: Grand Slam in September 2024 reignited fan interest, as she joined Mariah May for a brief celebration following May’s AEW Women’s World Championship win. With Khan now hinting at more consistent involvement, fans can look forward to seeing Shirakawa’s storylines develop further on AEW television.
