Nikki Garcia and Artem Chigvintsev Finalize Divorce Two Months After Calling It Quits

Artem Chigvintsev and Nikki Garcia have officially settled their divorce, but not without leaving a trail of drama and accusations in their wake.

The Dancing With the Stars pro and the Total Bellas star, who share a 4-year-old son Matteo, finalized their split just two months after a tumultuous breakup that saw domestic violence allegations on both sides.

“Nikki and Artem have settled their divorce and will not be going to court,” a spokesperson for Nikki confirmed to E! News on November 20. “Nikki’s No. 1 priority has always been her son and privacy on the matter. She is thankful for all of the love and support she has received during this difficult time.”

The settlement follows an explosive incident on August 29 at the former couple’s Northern California home, where Artem was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence. Local prosecutors later dropped the charge, with Artem expressing relief in September: “I’m incredibly relieved and grateful this legal saga has come to an end.”

But the legal battle didn’t stop there. Nikki filed for divorce shortly after the arrest, listing the same day as their separation date in court documents. The WWE Hall of Famer also sought a temporary restraining order, alleging Artem attacked her during the altercation.

In a stunning twist, Artem fired back in legal filings, claiming that Nikki was actually the aggressor and attacked him before police arrived. Both eventually agreed to drop their restraining orders to focus on co-parenting Matteo.

Amid the messy split, Artem has accused Nikki of costing him significant income with her allegations. While details are scarce, the dancer alleged that “false allegations” set him back financially by over $100,000.

Despite the bitterness, the pair appear committed to keeping things civil for the sake of their son. Artem’s attorney told E! News, “He and Nikki are focused on co-parenting and working together for the best interests of their son.”
