Linda McMahon co-founded Titan Sports with her husband Vince McMahon and she worked as President and CEO of WWE. A lot of controversies surrounding Vince McMahon made fans wonder whether they were even together anymore. It now appears that fans have finally received their answer, as Linda McMahon’s lawyer has confirmed that she and Vince McMahon are separated.
It has been a very turbulent year for the McMahon family after Janel Grant accused Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis of serious misconduct, including sexual assault, emotional abuse, and sex trafficking, with allegations dating back to March 2019.
CNN reported that President-elect Donald Trump has chosen former WWE CEO Linda McMahon as the nominee for U.S. Secretary of Education. Following this announcement, Beth Reinhard and Abha Bhattarai of The Washington Post published a detailed report, revealing that Linda McMahon and Vince McMahon are currently separated, as confirmed by Linda’s attorney, Laura Brevetti.
Brevetti also addressed the “Ring Boys” lawsuit, which accuses Linda McMahon, Vince McMahon, WWE, and TKO of ignoring widespread abuse. The lawsuit alleges that five minors, hired by Melvin Phillips Jr., were groomed, exploited, and sexually abused at wrestling venues, hotels, and other locations. According to the lawsuit, the defendants were aware of the abuse but failed to act.
Brevetti strongly denied the claims, calling the allegations “scurrilous lies, exaggerations, and misrepresentations,” and emphasized that the events in question are over 30 years old.
Linda and Vince McMahon got married in 1966 when Linda was 17 and Vince was 21. They have two children, Stephanie McMahon and Shane McMahon. While Linda has now taken on an important political role, Vince is still dealing with Janel Grant’s lawsuit and other ongoing issues. Regardless, many fans aren’t necessarily surprised that they have now separated and feel it might be for the best
