All Elite Wrestling went to Reading, PA, at the Santander Arena for the final episode of Dynamite before Full Gear 2024 on November 23. The show was set to address several key storylines, and tie up some loose ends, including Chris Jericho taking care of some business before the pay-per-view.
During the November 20 AEW Dynamite, they featured a contract signing between Chris Jericho and Tomohiro Ishii. Renee Paquette met with the two backstage for the contract signing.
Chris Jericho was quick to make it clear that he wasn’t going to sign any contract unless his attorney could look over it first. Renee stated that Jericho had the contract already, but that didn’t change the Learning Tree’s opinion.
Instead of signing the contract, Jericho left the room. Ishii then followed him down the hallway, even though Jericho tried to create distance between them. Ishii just followed Jericho down the hallway and then up the stairs toward the concourse of the arena.
Ishii stalked Chris Jericho into the arena and to the ring. Jericho didn’t seem too thrilled about the fact that he had the Stone Pitbull following him around. Once they finally got to the ring, Jericho grabbed a microphone and he said that the lack of a pen was keeping him from inking the contract. That is when Ishii pulled a pen out and handed it to the Learning Tree.
Chris Jericho didn’t seem too thrilled about it, but he did sign the contract for Full Gear. Suddenly, the Learning Tree’s branches jumped Ishii. Bryan Keith and Big Bill attacked Ishii and just as Jericho was about to stable Ishii with the pen, Mark Briscoe ran out for the save.
A bit of chaos broke out after that as Jay Briscoe and Ishii laid waste to Chris Jericho and his followers. This was quite a segment, and it will likely lead to a newsworthy ROH World Title match at Full Gear.
