Bobby Lashley joined AEW last month and he is now working alongside MVP and Shelton Benjamin. Known as The Hurt Syndicate, they are simply here in AEW to hurt people and now Lashley has addressed Ricochet potentially joining The Hurt Syndicate.

Bobby Lashley made a powerful debut during AEW Fright Night Dynamite, teaming up with MVP and Shelton Benjamin to reform The Hurt Syndicate. The group wasted no time making an impact, attacking Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana, making it clear they mean business.

While speaking on The Lame Guys podcast, Bobby Lashley was asked whether he wanted to see Ricochet join The Hurt Syndicate. The Almighty stated that Ricochet could be a good choice, but the question is whether he has the right toughness. Ricochet says he does, but Lashley pointed out that many people say that, so it’s about proving it.

Lashley explained that he was once seen as a good guy, like Ricochet is now, but when he joined The Hurt Business and worked with MVP, people saw him differently. Lashley believes having a tough manager can help a good guy turn into a stronger character, like Roman Reigns with Paul Heyman.

Lashley thinks Ricochet could benefit from this change and become more aggressive, just like they helped Cedric Alexander become tougher instead of just showing off flashy moves.

“I think Ricochet would be a great option. I don’t know if he’s going to be that person because there’s another question—does he have that dog in him? Like, we’ve asked him several times, and he says, ‘I do, I do, I do,’ but everyone says that. Do you really have it? “What’s cool about Ricochet is that he’s in the same category I was in. I was such a babyface, and people still see me that way. But when I joined the Hurt Business and linked up with MVP, people were like, ‘Alright, he’s different now.’ Having a heel manager really helps a babyface make that switch. Roman and Paul Heyman are a great example of this. “I think Ricochet could benefit from something like that. It would give him a different kind of grit, which is what we worked on with Cedric all the time. Cedric’s moves were so flashy, and we’d tell him, ‘Stop it—just smash this dude in his face.’

Ricochet previously revealed that he was supposed to join The Hurt Business in WWE. Therefore, fans would more than love to see the high-flying AEW star join The Hurt Syndicate, as a heel turn could benefit Ricochet in a big way.
