Saraya’s brother Zak Knight confirmed that he signed with AEW in late February of this year and since then he has competed in a few matches here and there but has been absent for several months now. Knight has now revealed the reason behind his prolonged absence.

Zak Knight was last seen on AEW television during the April 10th edition of AEW Rampage, where he defeated Angelo Parker. He would then compete in a few dark matches but has not been on television since an appearance at AEW All In Zero Hour in August.

Zak Knight took to Twitter and revealed why he has been absent from AEW television. He explained that he took some time off starting in June for personal and health reasons but has been ready to return since August. With AEW’s roster being packed with talent, he’s staying patient and waiting for his next opportunity.

“Just to clarify some things! I came home June & needed a lil time off due to personal/health reasons. I’ve been fit, clear & ready to go since August. AEW has a stacked & very talented roster!! I’ll remain patient and wait for my next opportunity!”

Zak Knight last competed in a dark match before the 5th June edition of AEW Dynamite, where he defeated Auron West in singles competition. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see if Knight will make his AEW television return anytime soon, as fans want him to come back and do something substantial.
