NXT Deadline is set to go down on December 7, and Trick Williams needs an opponent. That being said, the match to determine who will face Trick Willy next had huge stakes attached to it.

During the November 12 episode of WWE NXT, Ridge Holland made Andre Chase put it all on the line. Chase said he would disband Chase U if he lost a match against Holland. That resulted in a very interesting #1 contender match during the November 19 episode of NXT.

During this week’s episode of NXT, Andre Chase faced Ridge Holland in an NXT Championship #1 Contenders Match. The stakes were particularly high, as the match included a special stipulation: if Chase lost, his faction, Chase U, would be forced to disband.

This contest closed out the show this week, and they gave it a big match feel as Mike Rome gave special introductions. Holland and Chase also received a few mentions during the show to hype their confrontation. Trick Williams also came out before this match to get a better view at ringside.

This match started off with Andre Chase selling to Ridge Holland’s slow offense. Chase U fans filled the NXT Arena, and a ton of them were wearing the faction’s t-shirt. There were U’s all over the place as Ridge Holland’s assault continued, and he took up the mat around the ring. Then Andre Chase was able to fight Holland off and hit a dive off the apron to take him down.

They went to commercial break, and the two carried on. Then Holland got a chair, but the referee took it away. This distraction let Holland land a low blow, but he didn’t get a pinfall before Duke Hudson stopped him. The two brawled on the outside, and Holland eventually put him through the set. Suddenly, Riley Osbourne nailed a dive over the top rope that took out Holland and Thea Hale.

They moved to the ring, and then Ridge Holland threw Riley over the top rope and to the unprotected floor below. Finally, Andre Chase got back up and started to fight back.

Andre Chase rallied with his signature stomps, but he couldn’t get a pinfall. Then they moved to the top rope where Chase was able to nail a running powerbomb off the top rope, but he only got a two count. Then Chase climbed back up top and nailed a crossbody, but Ridge Holland caught him and nailed his finisher to win the match.

This was a devastating loss for Andre Chase. Now, Chase U must disband, and Holland is going to Deadline to face Trick Williams for the NXT Title.
