WWE 2K25’s Current Development Status Revealed

WWE 2K24 was released earlier this year and it has certainly lived up to expectations in a big way already. Being an annual series, fans are already excited for an announcement for WWE 2K25 and now the game’s current development status has been revealed.

WWE 2K24 has been getting tons of DLCs over the past several months and constant support as the developers made it clear they wanted to support the game as much as possible, but fans are more than ready to move on to WWE 2K25.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, development for WWE 2K25 is already in progress, including motion capture work. However, fans shouldn’t expect any official announcements or updates about the game until after the New Year.

After taking a break due to the poor reception of WWE 2K20, the WWE 2K series returned in 2022 with WWE 2K22. Since then, the franchise has released a new game every year, indicating that this yearly release schedule is likely to continue with WWE 2K25.

It remains to be seen if WWE 2K25 will introduce significant changes to the core gameplay, especially since many fans believe WWE 2K24 came close to perfecting the formula.
